This competitive program allows high-achieving high school seniors to secure a spot in our Traditional Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) program before even starting college.

From day one, students in the Direct Entry Nursing program receive personalized guidance from a dedicated advisor to help them stay on track and make the most of their nursing journey. With a guaranteed seat in the Traditional BSN Program (upon meeting the nursing requirements), you can focus on your studies with confidence.

You'll begin exploring the nursing profession in your very first semester through the Introduction to Nursing course, and even get involved early by joining the Student Nurses Association before formal nursing courses begin. Plus, when you apply to Jacksonville University, you鈥檙e automatically considered for merit-based scholarships鈥攏o extra steps required.

Admissions Requirements

In order to be accepted to the Freshman Acceptance Program you must meet the following criteria:

You must be a high school senior
You must have a high school GPA of 3.50 (weighted)
You must have a 'B' or higher (or equivalent weighted AP course grade) in the following courses: Chemistry, Biology, Algebra II
You must have an SAT score of 1180, an ACT score of 24, or a CLT score of 77.

Please ensure you select 'Bachelor of Science in Nursing' as your Primary and Secondary Academic Program. If accepted, your decision letter will specify you have been selected for the Freshman Acceptance Nursing Program.
