±¬×ߺÚÁÏ offers a fully online Post-Master of Science in Nursing (MSN) to Doctor of Nursing Practice (DNP) program tailored for Registered Nurses (RNs) and Advanced Practice Registered Nurses (APRNs) who already possess a graduate nursing degree. This terminal degree program is designed to help nursing professionals achieve advancement to the highest levels of the nursing field. In this program:

  • Choose from two tracks: Leadership or Advanced Practice.
  • Begin in Fall or Spring. No campus visits required. 
  • Designed for working professionals to earn their degree while working full-time.
  • Work with faculty mentors while completing your Doctoral Project.

Advanced Practice

Designed for Advanced Practice Registered Nurses looking to enhance their advanced practice specialties with a clinical focus on individuals and populations. 

Sample courses:

  • NUR 600 - Organizational Theory, Health Care Management and Finance
  • NUR 620 - Adv. Diagnostic Reasoning and Treatment II
  • NUR 640 - Clinical Manifestations of Disease Process and Emerging Therapies

Leadership

focuses on executive-level skills and is suited for Registered Nurses and Advanced Practice Registered Nurses working within health care systems in areas such as education and administration.

  • NUR 642 - Leadership and Innovation

This program is a terminal degree program. A Doctor of Nursing Practice (DNP) is one of the highest degrees you can earn in the field of nursing, meaning you will be working at the top of your profession.

Graduates of this program will be well-prepared to pursue new and exciting executive and administrative roles in their careers. If they choose, they will qualify to become nursing educators, as a DNP or a Ph.D. is typically required to teach at most colleges and universities.

How to ApplyAdmissions Requirements

  • Completed JU Application
  • Unofficial or Official Transcripts from all colleges and universities attended
    • If the candidate attended a college or university abroad, an official NACES evaluation of that transcript is required. Choose the course-by-course evaluation with the GPA option.
    • Official transcripts should be sent to: documents@ju.edu
  • A minimum 3.3 undergraduate GPA on a 4.0 scale is required
  • Graduation from a regionally accredited college/university with a Master of Science in Nursing Degree (MSN)
  • Graduation from a CCNE, NLN, or ACEN accredited nursing program
  • Resume or Curriculum Vitae
  • Statement of Intent
  • Active U.S. Nursing License
    • Out-of-state applicants must be eligible for endorsement in Florida
    • International students must hold a current license from a U.S. state and be eligible for endorsement in Florida.

The following may be requested of applicants with a GPA of 3.3 or below:

  • GRE/GMAT scores
  • Letters of Recommendation

International students will need to provide additional materials:

  • All international students whose first language is not English are required to submit proof of their proficiency in English, by providing scores for either: IELTS or TOEFL. If submitting score reports, they must be sent directly to ±¬×ߺÚÁÏ from the testing institutions.
